We are currently developing plans to expand Craigmount High School to increase its current notional capacity of 1400 pupils to accommodate 1800. The purpose of the project is to provide the school with the space and facilities it needs to meet growing demand for places from new housing developments at Maybury and Cammo.
The expansion proposal includes a new building and the reconfiguration of some existing spaces. Early feasibility work and discussions with the school leadership team have highlighted a preference for an extension to be built on the grass field at the east side of the school.
The project is currently in the Concept Design development stage, and more information will be published as the project develops. Public information sessions will be organised at key stages of the project to enable feedback and comments on the proposals as they are developed.
